You think you’re making a difference Keyboard Warrior? You’re not

Here’s why… while you sit behind the desk of your cushy office job, or in the comfort of your home, allegedly “calling people out”… all you are really doing is satisfying your vain self-interests; feeding the appearance that you care about what is happening in the world today when in reality you’re negligible attempts at making a difference are just that…negligible. Please explain how arguing with someone on social media about their views, which you know for a fact you won’t change with anything you say, makes a difference? Oh wait, it doesn’t. It’s self-serving at its best. You want to make a difference? I mean really make a difference? Then get off your keyboard/cellphone/tablet… start there… then go vote; and I don’t mean just in a presidential election for someone you think is a lesser of two evils or is the more popular choice, but actually research the person you want to hold your vote and actually get off your behind and vote for them. Go to a rally in your area supporting something you believe or volunteer your time if you can’t donate money to charities and organizations who are legitimately making a difference out there. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, is entitled to hold their own opinion whether we agree with it or not, and if all you’re good for is ruining people’s lives on social media please find whichever button that removes me from your world and press it, because seeing this self-serving crap in my feed daily makes me sick. I don’t see any one of you who are taking part in these actions actually doing anything to make a real change in the world. How about you start replacing those bar selfies with selfies at a community discussion you’re taking part in and help spread awareness instead? Oh, and since there are those who will ultimately decide that what I say is flawed or garbage or better yet try to say that these menial actions do make a difference… allow me explain something to you, I don’t think I’m going to change your ways; I’m not that ridiculous; just as you spewing whatever your thoughts are won’t change mine. However, this post lets you know (and your guilty conscience I assume if you decide to clap back with something ignorant) that I see you, and a lot of others see you, for what you really are and you’re not fooling anyone into thinking you actually care about this world and what’s happening in it beyond being a Keyboard Warrior.
